A pre-existing condition clause will apply for 200 working days. Benefits that result from a member’s pre-existing condition will be provided at the upgraded level only after the completion of 200 working days of active employment following the issuance of the upgrade; unless you become disabled from a pre-existing condition where there has been no record of consultation or care for a period of 6 months prior to the issuance of the upgrade.  
 

A pre-existing condition is a sickness or accident that first appeared or manifested itself before any policy upgrade was issued.  
 

Once the 200 working-day requirement has been fulfilled, all pre-existing conditions are covered at the increased level.
  

Additionally, please be advised that any amendments, endorsements, exclusions, or other modifications that may be part of your existing policy will also apply to the policy upgrade should you decide to take advantage of it.
